Mining industries need specific equipment to meet the demands of each site. At the Off-Highway Truck Supply Station, for example, the lighting needs to be appropriate for areas exposed to the weather, gases, vapors and dusts.
Knowing this, those responsible for the Supply Station of the world’s largest open-pit iron ore mine, located in the Serra dos Carajás in the municipality of Parauapebas, in southern Pará, opted to replace conventional luminaires with shielded LED projectors from the Guaecá Line in the lighting project.
The project resulted in better lighting efficiency and lower energy consumption. The level of illumination in the room was greatly improved with the LED luminaires, and it is now possible to save more energy and guarantee even greater safety, since maintenance has been reduced thanks to the product’s long service life. In this project, 15 projectors from the Guaecá CLG Line were used and, in addition to high efficiency, they ensured greater security for the site at night.
The Guaecá range stands out for its resistance, robustness, versatility and excellent performance in industrial and public applications. It uses state-of-the-art LEDs suitable for high-performance professional lighting, which are among the most efficient on the market and comply with the guidelines of the IES LM-80 standard.
Due to the advanced optical system for specific or long-range lighting, the Guaecá Line LED and lens set provides high luminous uniformity and excellent performance, reduces glare, increasing lighting levels with energy savings and low maintenance.
